Frequently asked questions
General
Standard Retailers: $1500 for the first brand, $800 for each brand after that. This could be $1500 in Caddie which would then allow a retailer to only spend $800 in Roost and $800 in Wildgame to gain access to those brands.
Children’s Boutique: $800 for the first brand, $500 for each brand after that. This could be $800 in Caddie which would then allow a retailer to only spend $500 in Roost and $500 in Wildgame to gain access to those brands.
Yes, we offer area protection for brick-and-mortar stores with over 1,000 square feet of retail space.
We are happy to sell to locations with less than 1,000 square feet of retail space, as long as they don't infringe on another brick-and-mortar storefront. However, these stores will not be granted exclusivity.
Standard Exclusivity Policies
Area protection “seasons” are based around two deadlines- August 15th (Fall release) and February 15th (Spring release). Orders placed from the time of the Fall/Spring catalog release to the aforementioned dates will count toward the corresponding season.
Area protection is evaluated for each line separately and is not issued across Buck Wild Branding, as a whole, unless the below minimums are met for all 5 lines.
To reach protected status and earn exclusivity in a 5-mile radius as the crow flies, a customer must spend $6000 in a line. After the first minimum is met, exclusivity for any additional lines will require $5000 ordered in each.
Children's-only Retailer Policies
We offer a lower threshold for businesses that do not carry adult apparel. Using the same set of dates, stores in this category must spend $4000 per season for exclusivity in a brand. After the first minimum is met, exclusivity for any additional lines will require $3000 ordered in each. The area protection radius for youth-only businesses is 3 miles, but is dependent on the presence of other retailers in the area that may carry both youth and adult items.
Additional Details
"Big Box" retail stores are considered a different market and are not subject to exclusivity policies.
Youth-only retailers are also considered to be in a separate market, and are not affected by adult-only retailers.
The cancellation of any purchase order by a customer may result in the revocation of that store's area protection.
The decision to issue area protection to a retailer is subject to final review by Buck Wild Branding management and may be rejected without cause.
